You’ve wrangled some space at his place but isn’t it a bit unfair if you don’t reciprocate? It may seem like a big conversation but it really isn’t. One morning, when he has your pink lady razor in his hand ready to maul his face, you can mention (in an offhand manner, of course) that he could leave a few things at your place if it would be easier for him.
- Give him a drawer. Not so much that he’s going to be neat and get everything back in it, but at least you’ll have a place to put his stuff when you’re picking it up off your floor.
- Buy him a waterproof bag for his toiletries unless you want them hanging out in your bathroom even when he isn’t there.
- Be cautious about how much clothing he leaves at your place unless you have a hankering to do his laundry.
- Do not add to or subtract from his stuff, no matter how tempting it might be. If you want to be nice, keep his favorite food/alcohol in your house in small quantities.
Just remember that his leaving stuff at your place may not be as big a deal to him as it is to you (feel free to recycle his stuff if you break up later).
