I can not stress enough that you need to have yourself together before embarking on a search for a mate. Yes, we are all a work in progress, no one is perfect, etc. etc. etc. While I agree with those statements the fact remains that in order to make the best possible match, you need to be the best possible option. You may have nine of the ten key things that a guy is looking for but that tenth thing might be a deal-breaker.
Which one would you choose?
- Option 1: Incredibly attractive, smart, good job, loves his momma, treats you well, meth-head.
- Option 2: Attractive, genius, good job, great relationship with his family, treats you well, not a meth-head.
If you picked Option 1, we really need to talk. Of course your weak point is hopefully not that you’re a meth-head but you should work to mitigate your flaws.
And it’s not just about the person of your dreams picking you – you want to be in a strong enough position to know what your worth and negotiate a relationship based on your (and their) value. You should never be selling yourself short just to get the guy.
